Part 3 of Board Approved Supervisor training consists of a video submission of a supervision session and written personal reflection that demonstrate and discuss the participants skills in the context of the 6 competencies for supervisors as determined by the Psychology Board of Australia.  The video and written reflection will be submitted electronically to the trainer for review, evaluation and feedback.

The purpose of Part 3 is to assess and evaluate the participants supervisory skills to determine whether they have met the 6 supervisor competencies to the standard required to be a board approved supervisor.

Marking for the written refection will focus on self-refection on the participant’s performance of competencies within the recording, and discussing their attainment of all 6 competencies required to obtain supervisor status with the Board.  Marking will utilise a 4 point rating scale (Exceptional Performance, Highly Competent, Competent, Fail).

Each of these criteria must be assessed as at least “competent” to pass Part 2.

The video and reflection will be required to be submitted within 3 months of completing Part 2 of the training.

Participants may apply for an extension for up to an additional 3 months due to extenuating circumstances or illness by emailing us at learn@okeydokey.com.au with their request. Each application for an extension will be considered on an individual basis.

The trainer will assess each video recorded supervision session and written reflection individually and provide written feedback regarding the submissions, as well as a Pass or Fail result.

Participants who Pass the assessment will be provided with a certificate of completion and will be able to apply for Board-approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board.

Participants who Fail the assessment will be given the opportunity to redo and resubmit their recording and reflection to gain a Pass.

Participants can submit their final assessment a maximum of 3 times before being required to complete Part 1 and 2 of the training again and then attempt Part 3.
